Visit of the Nadalié cooperage

Around wine, secret Gironde

Discover the secrets of making a barrel by visiting the cooperage Nadalié, run by the same family since 1902.

From cutting century-old oaks to refining staves, from assembling staves to heating, you will know everything about the essential role that wood plays in wine aging. You will learn that oak brings aromas of vanilla, spices or toast to the wine... But shush, go there to find out what happens next; and prepare yourself now for a visit full of sparkles!

Visits take place in the morning, by appointment, from Monday to Friday and include:

  • A complete tour of the cooperage: wood yard, workshop, heating room…
  • A tasting of Nadalié family wines, which you will find in the Wine Boutique which offers a wide choice of wines.

Price: €12,50 per person for the visit and wine tasting, €5 for over 12s and students, free for under 12s / Duration 1h30

You also have the option of having lunch (or dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings) at restaurant “Le 1902” (within the cooperage itself), where the Chef enhances local Gironde products. The 1902 also received a Best of Wine Tourism 2016 in the “Catering” category.
