The Red Terrace of Château La Dominique

Around wine, Gastronomy

Under the double impetus of its owner Clément Fayat and the architect Jean Nouvel, the Castle Dominica (Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Emilion) adorned its new cellar with red and light in 2013.

Since then, the public can not only take advantage of personalized tours of the property (all accessible to people with reduced mobility) but also of a restaurant located on the roof, the Red Terrace, a veritable "belvedere floating above the vines" with breathtaking views. on the neighboring vineyards of Cheval-Blanc, Figeac, La Conseillante and l'Evangile...

Remarkable for its daring design (visitors can tread a bed of red glass pebbles), the Terrasse Rouge offers seasonal cuisine with products made on site (count €16 for the dish of the day at lunchtime on weekdays, €38 for the menu of the day with starter, main course, dessert, two glasses of wine and a coffee); you can also taste oysters and Caviar de France, platters of regional charcuterie and of course savor (in moderation) a selection of fine wines.

Foodies take note: on Thursdays, an express cooking class is offered from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The principle: you cook and taste on the spot.
