Would you like to visit the largest barrel cellar in the Médoc? You have to go to the Vignerons d'Uni-Médoc cellar, on the road to Soulac at the Gaillan-en-Médoc exit. A giant bottle at the entrance to the car park tells you that you have arrived. You are here in the nerve center of this group of 300 winegrowers who exploit 1230 hectares of vines, representing the diversity of the terroirs of the Médoc appellation.
The highlight of your visit is the discovery of the cellar which, with its 3600 oak barrels, is the largest in the Médoc. Guided by a professional, you can ask all your questions about wine ageing, blending and ageing. At the end of your visit, a wide choice of different vintages is on offer in the Uni-Médoc Winegrowers shop, where you can admire a reproduction of the Cordouan lighthouse.
