Granddaughter of Joseph Ballan who bought this 1909th century wine estate at auction in 1855, Marie-Josée now manages the estate with her husband Michel Pierre. These independent winegrowers welcome you all year round to Château Caillou, a grand cru classé in 13, and explain to you that the XNUMX hectares in one piece have not been modified since that date. During the visit, they share with you their passion for the production of this great Barsac wine: from the exclusively manual harvest, in several successive sortings, to traditional vinification, you will know everything about their work as winegrowers. All you have to do is taste one of the Château Caillou cuvées.
