At the southern gates of Bordeaux in the commune of Léognan, the Domaine de Grandmaison is located on the left bank of the Eau Blanche river. A shaded dirt road leads you to the main house, which is distinguished by its central tower and its double staircase leading upstairs. All year round, Jean and François Bouquier welcome you to this family estate which has 19 hectares of vines in AOC Pessac-Léognan.
They introduce you to the terroir made up of siliceous gravel, then accompany you to the vat room and the barrel cellar: admire the dozens of oak barrels lined up in this vast, long room with a beautiful wooden frame. End your visit with a tasting of the wines of the Domaine de Grandmaison, before returning to the Bordeaux wine route in Graves and Sauternes.
