In the heart of the famous Sauternes vineyards, the Domaine de Carbonnieu nestles on the banks of the Ciron, in the town of Bommes. Passed down since at least 1782 from father to son, this family property has grown slowly through the purchase of small plots with each generation. Today, the 20 hectares are divided into 60 plots in the communes of Bommes and Preignac. Alain Charrier, or one of his sons, welcomes you and introduces you to the Domaine de Carbonnieu.
He explains to you that without Ciron, we could not make Sauternes.
Another originality, the family has developed a cocktail based on Sauternes: the So'Tonic available in a bottle.
