Cabin 6 – Catherine ROUX

German, English, Spanish

Open all year round, noon and evening depending on the weather.
In winter, open only at lunchtime.

Want to discover the famous oysters of the Bassin d'Arcachon? Dressed all in white, Catherine Roux's cabin welcomes you to the conche du Mimbeau, in the heart of a picturesque oyster-farming village in the south of the Cap Ferret peninsula. Around you, beaches, pines and above all the typical landscapes of the Bassin d'Arcachon: the nearby oyster beds, the Île aux Oiseaux and the Dune du Pilat in the distance. Catherine introduces you to her farm and answers your questions about oyster farming.
In addition to the retail sale of Cap Ferret and Banc d'Arguin oysters, you can sit under the arbor by the water to taste the "pearl" of the Basin: accompanied by lemon, bread, of pâté and served with a glass of local white wine (Graves and Entre-deux-Mers), the oyster exalts all its flavors!
