An 30th century charterhouse on a XNUMX-hectare estate in Castres-Gironde, the Château de Castres opens its doors to you on a beautiful gravelly hill about twenty kilometers south of Bordeaux. Surrounded by three parks with three-hundred-year-old trees, it belongs to José Rodrigues-Lalande, a passionate oenologist engineer who also owns Château Roche-Lalande in Martillac, in Pessac-Léognan.
After an overview of the vineyard, cultivated without any weedkiller, discover very qualitative winemaking techniques in the particularly innovative cellar. During the tasting of a selection of Graves wines, come back with your host on the history of the Château de Castres, a very old property which has long borne the name of its most illustrious owner, the Baron de Poitevin.
