The breathtaking view over the Garonne valley and its hillsides will make everyone agree. For the holidays in Entre-deux-Mers, we recommend white wine and Lillet. They will certainly go well with your oysters, or even your fish. To impress your guests, start preparing a cocktail based on Lillet, tonic and raspberries. Instant wow effect!

Between the Garonne and the Dordogne, the Bordeaux hinterland can be explored in particular by bicycle. On the Roger Lapébie cycle path or the Canal des 2 Mers à vélo®, there is no shortage of nuggets. Between theLa Sauve-Majeure abbey, the Bastide of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, La Réole (town of Art and History), you will be spoiled for choice. This magnificent gite for 15 people puts the dishes in the big ones so that you spend incredible end-of-year celebrations. The 450 m² of absolute comfort are yours: a large covered terrace for chatting, a children's area for having fun, a library for reading or even a billiard table for challenging yourself. Ideally located in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers, the Domaine de Lorette is above all a nature break. You might even come face to face with the owners of the place: donkeys and goats. But shh, we won't tell you more...

How about taking advantage of our winter walks to add a Gironde specialty to our holiday meal? A few kilometers from the gite is the town of Grignols. Here, a dozen breeders offer particularly tasty poultry: the Capon de Grignols. Accompanied by chestnuts or potatoes, this emblematic dish from the South of Gironde will delight your guests.
Trips and curiosities
During your stay, treat yourself to sweet moments walking through the vineyards and woods surrounding the gîte. If you go in the direction of Langon and Bazas, the whole of the South-Gironde is available to you. In the middle of the pines of the Landes, the walks are rejuvenating and exotic as desired. In Bazas, you can even rent electric bikes to explore the green landscapes of South Gironde with ease.
Want heritage? We can only strongly advise you to lose yourself in the villages that dot the Entre-deux-Mers: Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, Monségur, Cadillac, Blasimon... and their charming bastides for example.

Our selection now brings us to the heart of the hilly Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Located 15 kilometers from Saint-Emilion, Château Claud Bellevue is bordered by 10 hectares of vines. Visits to wine estates, hiking, cycling, horseback riding... there is no shortage of activities around the gîte! And weather permitting, a game of petanque could even be improvised in the residence's magnificent garden. For the more cautious, the large table will be the ideal place to face board game enthusiasts.
The specialties
For a Christmas table with Gironde notes, you cannot miss Saint-Émilion macaroons. Very different from their Parisian cousins, they are delicious (see better but we are not very objective)! Then, to accompany your meat or vegetables, why not try wine salt? A product that dates back to the beginning of the XNUMXth century when wine and salt were transported by boat.

Punctuated by its Dordogne river (world biosphere reserve by UNESCO), the Libournais region is also so by its heritage. A perfect cottage for chilling
Are you looking for a turnkey place that will please the whole family? This cottage is for you! Covered terrace with heated parasol, bicycles and fishing rods available, relaxation room with jacuzzi, billiard room... Still not convinced? And if we tell you: Cinema room with giant screen and Netlfix available! We told you, this large stone house has everything to please. And for the epicureans there is also the embarrassment of choice: barbecue, plancha, fitted kitchen. We know some who will enjoy it!

Fancy a holiday meal with Médoc accents? Let's go.
Start by inviting Médoc oysters to your table. Less known than their Cap Ferret cousins, they will surprise your guests. To accompany your dishes, there's nothing like a good wine aged in a Médoc château (which you can find by visiting the properties). And finally, as an accompaniment to coffee or as a topping on your desserts, there are of course the hazelnuts from Médoc. These delicious hazelnuts coated in caramel, produced in Blaignan, are the pride of the area. Success guaranteed!

During your stay, discover treasures of the Médoc, starting with the route of the Médoc castles which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the French vineyards (in all fairness). To survey it is to take full eyes. The magnificent estates with majestic architecture follow one another and are not alike. Take the opportunity to meet the winegrowers in their properties. Some offer activities for children such as cooking classes or treasure hunts.
