A bike ride in complete freedom in Gironde and Charente Maritime. You travel through the Médoc and its prestigious vineyards;
Haut Médoc, Moulis, Margaux, Pauillac.... Further north you cross the marshes before arriving at Soulac, a charming seaside resort on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. You cross the Gironde estuary to Royan and continue your circuit in Charente Maritime. A stopover at the ports of Meschers or Mortagne is a must before crossing a few plots of the famous “Cognac” and “Pineau” of the Charentes and arriving at Blaye, another must-see with its UNESCO-listed Vauban citadel. You will find on your route mills and old fortified castles, superb Romanesque churches, caves and unique Gallo-Roman sites, not to mention charming towns and villages.
