Your itinerary

1

Departure from Hostens church

Departure from the place of the church of Hostens. Pass in front of the old station, here like everywhere in the region, the railway line has been transformed into a cycle path.
2

Retis district

Turn left towards Samion on the D.110 then go through the Canet district. Continue straight until the district of Rétis. Take the opportunity to admire the Sainte-Catherine chapel, a simple little Gothic church dating from the XNUMXth century, in which mural paintings have recently been discovered and restored.
3

Capsus District

Get on your bike and continue your journey along the same path. At the next intersection, continue straight. Just after the bridge over the Mounarde stream, a forest firefighters tank stores water to intervene on forest fires. You arrive in the Capsus district. Turn left on the D.348, cross the Roumehort stream bridge, admire the clear waters and the vegetation on the banks and continue towards the town of Mano.
4

The town of Mano

It is quite recent, the stones of the church were moved for its reconstruction in this strategic point. As for the "old town" it exists, still isolated in the woods.
5

The Tuzan and Louchats

Take the D.651 to the left then to the right in the direction of Cape Nord. Continue on the forest track n°228 and continue on this axis which now takes the n°103a. At the crossroads, take on your left the very small road lined with oak trees which rises slightly to Le Tuzan. At the crossing of the D.3, cross at the protected passage by pushing the bike because this road is dangerous, and take towards Louchats.
6

Ladles

You cross the Bazas-Mios cycle path again, the old Tuzan station has been transformed into a bike lodge. At the next crossroads, turn left towards Grande Maison, follow the stone kilometer marker on the left. At the Le Couy crossing, turn right and continue straight until you find the D.115. Turn left on this road, and go up it towards the North until Louchats. Walk around the church square and discover the Cercle de la Paix, a building that once served as a post office.
7

The lagoons of Gat Mort

Take the direction of Saint-Magne on the D.110 E8. Walk along the Gat Mort lagoons, where a picnic stop is ideal.
8

Back to Hostens

After visiting the lagoons, take the D110 E6. At the crossroads, continue towards Saint-Magne, then turn left into the town and then left again to take the D5 towards Hostens.
