Plassac, located 3km south of Blaye on the Gironde Estuary; the southern limit of the commune (stream called Brouillon or Gamaye) is considered as a “border” between pays d'Oil and d'Oc.
The ancient presence of man is attested by numerous vestiges. Witnesses to a rich past give the town a special identity. Nestled in this beautiful country of hills, Plassac well deserves to have been classified as an "old village".

Turn left and left again to return via rue du port, a small road with very little traffic.
