BORDEAUX

The Parc Rivière, a little-known green setting located between the townhouses of the Tivoli district and the buildings of the Cité du Grand Parc. This landscaped garden of four hectares was originally the grounds of a bourgeois castle dating from the 19th century, the ruins of which are still to be found in the heart of the park.

The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a stroller or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), offered by the French Hiking Federation of the Gironde.

Your itinerary

1

The start

From the rue Camille Godard car park, pass the gate and the playground on your left and follow the gravel alley. At the cut tree trunk, turn right then slightly further right (make a round trip ) see the shared garden. Take the gravel alley again, leave the castle on your left and continue the alley on the right. Turn right towards the entrance to the shared garden with an explanatory panel at the entrance. Go through the gate and turn right towards the gardener's house, stroll through the garden paths and return to the central garden path, head towards the door opposite that of the entrance and continue on the gravel path .
2

Curiosities

Then turn to the left on the path that runs along the stone wall (leave the path on your right towards the rue Mandron exit) then continue on a path along the stone wall of the park which becomes a little further on a path in grave. You arrive at a crossroads (entrance of the rue de Rivière) continue straight to go around the park. The alley in grave stops and a path bypasses a wooden fence (security perimeter around a tree remarkable), then turn right, facing a grassy area, take a path then continue on the gravel driveway to the playground (on your right). You have returned to the starting point, either you turn right towards the exit, or left (you take the same path as at the start) then a little further you see the castle (ruin) on your left, you go around it to the right on a gravel driveway.
3

Back

Leave the alley at the entrance to rue de Rivière, and follow the alley to the left and continue on the same path taken previously to return to the exit for rue Camille Godard.
