This 65-hectare park illustrates the successful conversion of an old gravel pit whose 3 ponds make it picturesque. In summer, at the end of August, don't miss the Ambès les Odyssées festival, dedicated to the performing arts.
In the XNUMXth century, Ambès was a land of encounters. Located at the confluence of the Dordogne and the Garonne, where the two rivers mix to form the Gironde, the largest estuary in Atlantic Europe. A vast trade in goods, including contraband, then existed with the ports of Bordeaux and Libourne.

The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a stroller or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), offered by the French Hiking Federation of the Gironde.

Your itinerary

1

The start

From the car park, take the wide path that runs along the children's play area and provides access to the trails: you can choose to go around one, two or three lakes. Continue straight and start around the first lake on the right.
2

Third lake and back

Before reaching the main driveway, turn right to go around the third lake. Take the large driveway on the right and return to the car park.
