Your itinerary

1

Departure from the church of Mons to Belin-Béliet

Departure from the Mons church, you are on a high place of the way of Saint Jacques de Compostelle by the way of Tours, in Belinétois country.
2

The Saint Clair fountain

Below the church, a small wooden bridge provides access to the St-Clair Fountain where water has been flowing for centuries and still has healing properties today. On the site, the gîtejacquaire welcomes pilgrims. Well hidden behind the pines on the other side of the road, the Croix de la Salvétat erected on a garluche obelisk is surprising, it is splendid.
3

The Church of Old Lugo

Get on the bike and ride 2.7 km on the small forest road with yellow hat markers. Magnificent passage in the district of La Borie, and join the D110. Then turn left, and 1,7 km take, on the right, the road that runs along the A63, then goes into the woods towards the isolated chapel. Push the door which is never locked. Atmosphere…
4

Belin center

Go along the D110 until you reach L'Eyre at the Mesplet bridge (200 m after the intersection with the forest road coming from Mons). Shaded sandy beach ideal for relaxation and for soaking your feet in the summer. Drive to reach the village at 1.5 km. Go on until the crossing of the RD 1010 (exRN 10). Turn left for 1,5 km, pass in front of La Maison du Parc and descend towards the village of BELIN. Shops, cafes, shade under the plane trees. Take the street on the right after the church of Belin. Shelter and public toilets behind the church, (13.6 km traveled excluding option) Cross the square and continue straight on along rue de l'Abbé Gaillard.
5

Boutox, Meynieu and La Huillade districts

Drive for 1.1 km to leave the village and take the signposted Boutox road to the right. Drive due south. The road marks a steep slope to cross a stream, shelter next to it. After 3.7 km, well before the district of Boutox, turn left, towards Meynieu, another isolated district in the forest at 1.5 km and continue straight ahead to come out on Route de la Huillade (D134).
6

Peyrin district

Turn right and descend towards the south, cross the district of Peyrin (2 km). On the left, observe the small brickyard with its chimney.
7

Chapel and fountain of Biganon

Arrive at the intersection of the D 348, turn right and 200 m further on the district of Biganon is revealed. Turn right 200 m later, in the center of the hamlet, discover the Place des Platanes, with a town hall (annex, because here it is a district of Moustey), a fountain (Ste-Ruffine), and the chapel (St Pierre- ès-liens) whose Romanesque part is one of the oldest in the moor. The place is conducive to siestas and picnics sheltered under the porch of the church. Go back to the right, crossing the village and descend (with caution) towards the stream. Freshness guaranteed. On the height, see the cemetery. Push the gate, atmosphere...Take the road which goes up to the very close crossroads indicating Saugnac on the right and Moustey in front.

Saint Roch chapel in Saugnac and Muret

Place called Nigon

Join 300 m the crossing in the center of the isolated district of Lilaire on the border of the Landes and the Gironde, and go due north, for 5 km, towards these peaceful districts, in a row, passing successively by Nigon (with its old one-class school ) then by Camontès to arrive at the D110E1.
