From Sainte-Foy-la-Grande to Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt in ecomobility

From the station, go to the center of the bastide town of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. Leaving the station, continue straight on along Avenue Paul Bert. At the crossroads, take Boulevard Laregnere. At the end of the street, you will find the public garden, turn left rue de la République.

On your right, find the Tourist Office. Located in a half-timbered house with a corner turret. Continue on your way, you will pass in front of the central square with the arcades and you will also see the Church of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. At the end of rue de la République, take the second right and cross the bridge to reach the town of Port-Sainte-Foy. After crossing the bridge, turn left onto Promenade de la Batellerie.

You descend along the river on the Promenade de la Batellerie. Walk along the Dordogne river to reach Bardoulets beach.

You are now at Place des Bardoulets. Beach equipped in summer and where swimming is supervised. From the beach, go up towards the path and rue du Passeur. At the end of the street, turn left then right, crossing the road (very busy) to join the path through the vineyards.

You will arrive at a place called Briat, take the road to the left then continue the path opposite, straight ahead in the shade. At the end of the path, turn left to join the paved road. At the end of the road, turn left again and then left again. After 300 meters, turn left in the middle of the vines (signposting). At the end of the road, continue straight ahead, along the main road D708, then after 200 meters, turn left on rue du Moulin and then after 50 meters turn right on rue des fleurs. Continue straight on the rue des fleurs to reach the Promenade de la Batellerie and reach the bridge to end your hike by passing through the Bastide of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande.
