BLAY

The Citadel of Blaye and the Lock of the Estuary have been registered on the prestigious World Heritage List since July 7, 2008. Registration on this list confers on each of the sites appearing on it a universal and exceptional value. Each fortified site, including the Citadel of Blaye within the Verrou de l'Estuaire, presents a facet of Vauban's work, complementary to the others.

The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a stroller or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), offered by the French Hiking Federation of the Gironde.
