The Romanesque churches to the west of Bazas

These Romanesque churches of the Community of Communes of Bazadais were all attached to the diocese of Bazas. These are mainly buildings built in the XNUMXth century, sometimes with earlier construction campaigns as evidenced by certain portions of walls in small rubble stones, associated with narrow elongated bays with monolithic lintheau. The apses are often semicircular, that of the Nizan presenting a decoration of quite remarkable interior blind arcades. The capitals are not without originality. Because of the disasters of time (Hundred Years War, Wars of Religion), all these churches suffered a lot.
