Quérion Loop

This route takes you to the heart of the "Gabaye" country, a land of customs endowed with a language from the populations of Saintonge who came to repopulate these regions after the Hundred Years War and the Great Black Death. There remains today an agricultural tradition based on livestock and vines. The varied landscapes combine the vineyards of the Bordeaux, Côtes de Bourg and Côtes de Blaye appellations with vast meadows populated by calves or sheep. Further on, large plots are devoted to the cultivation of asparagus.
