Over the period of departmental tourism plan for tourism 2017-2021, Gironde Tourisme has implemented a program to enhance hiking loops focused on highlighting local heritage: a collection of 50 booklets of PRead Beautiful Walks in Gironde Tourism was offered to the public.
The promotion of local loops remains a priority objective of the Tourism and Leisure Orientation Document 2023-2028. The program of PRead Beautiful Walks in Gironde Tourism will therefore be continued taking into account the current revision of the PDIPR.
These already produced booklets can be viewed online on the Gironde Tourisme website and 2000 copies are available in each tourist office concerned. They are produced by the printing works of the Department of Gironde.
This program is now complete. The existing booklets are updated and printed annually.
A partnership with publishers South West was also established. Some of these walks have been taken up in a series of three books.
In exchange, for two years every two weeks, a presentation article on a loop was included in the Sud Ouest newspaper, which made it possible to offer great visibility to the territories.
