The president of Gironde department Jean-Luc Gleyze wishes to create partnerships and actions between social support professionals and tourism professionals so that everyone feels involved in tourism.

Simon Thirot, General Delegate of theNational Union of Tourism Associations welcomed the initiative of the Gironde which included social and solidarity tourism in its tourism development plan. He recalled that 1 million children and a third of French people do not go on vacation.

Luc Greffier outlined the issues of social tourism, thus allowing the participants of the round tables to share their experiences and practices.
