Information for all
Appropriate signage should be clear and simple. It promotes safe and independent circulation for all. It is necessary to distinguish:
- directional signage
- location signage
- information signage
The easy-to-read and easy-to-understand text/image combination is essential. Color codes, contrasts and concise information should be favored when designing signage.
UNAPEI has created technical guides to help create appropriate signage.
The written information must be able to be understood by all, i.e.:
- by people who have difficulty reading
- by people whose mother tongue is not French
- by people with intellectual disabilities
To help make communication easy to read and understand, UNAPEI has published two practical advice guides.
