Pujols-sur-Dordogne is located on a promontory overlooking the Escouach valley and the alluvial plain of the Dordogne. The Saint-Pierre church, formerly dedicated to Notre-Dame, built at the end of the XNUMXth century, has a vaulted apse in a cul-de-four and a choir in broken barrel. The upper parts of the chevet and the nave are surmounted by elements of defense chambers which date back to the troubled periods of the Hundred Years War and of Religion. The western façade erected in the XNUMXth century has a sculpted door.
The castle, from the first half of the XNUMXth century, corresponds to a large rectangular main building flanked by watchtowers on buttresses resting on a large square tower. It now houses the town hall. Old houses on arcades are on the place of the castle.
The esplanade in front of the castle allows you to enjoy wide views of the Dordogne plain.
