The old father (his statue). Laurent Kropf leaves this statue in its inaugural state, namely still covered with a sheet. We guess a human form frozen in a heroic posture and marked by an idealistic generosity. Everyone is free to reveal this old father and give him a reality confronted with the crash of history. This problematic statue is opposed to the deceptive certainty of the monument. She is only a ghostly trace coming from an indefinable past and which fits like a dynamic enigma in the effervescence of a present.
