The Forest of Contemporary Art: A Meeting. The Métis, the Same and the Other, work n°13

An encounter. The half-breed, the same and the other. Bruno Peinado. Bourideys, 2014. Programming: Didier Arnaudet. This figure of the Trojan Horse is offered here as a playful, stimulating infiltration into the landscape, and opens like a back door to an imaginary with multiple and unpredictable proposals. Pretext for very diverse meanings, the horse has the particularity of being associated with water. On this lake, Bruno Peinado charges it with his magical gifts, and gives it a pixelated shape that evokes this method of camouflage based on the optical illusion created by a multiplication of facets. The bright yellow color reinforces this ability to designate a presence offered, without ever closing in, to a wide variety of interpretations and resources. It is up to everyone to experience the crossbreeding of the Greeks which combines the intelligence of cunning and fair measure.
