Church of Saint-André du Teich

The parish and the church of Saint-André du Teich appeared around the year 1300. They were the property of Captal de Buch. The church, dedicated to St André, underwent at least three transformations, the last during the years 1922/1924, being a complete transformation because the large bell tower was in danger of ruin. We find in the interior decoration the symbols of the country: apples and pine needles. The modern stained-glass windows of good archaic design were donated by the most eminent families from Teich. The church houses a statue of Saint Jacques pilgrim in polychrome wood from the XNUMXth century, as well as a wooden virgin that the sailors implored when the sardine ran out.
