French, English

South-east of Bordeaux on the road to Agen, La Réole is a town founded in 977 on the banks of the Garonne. Its history and culture stand out for their richness and diversity. Many monuments are listed, including the former Benedictine Priory (XNUMXth century) with the priory church (late XNUMXth-early XNUMXth centuries), the fortified Quat'Sos castle (late XNUMXth century), one of the oldest Hôtel de Ville de France (end of the XNUMXth century), and the remains of the walls from the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries. La Réole offers beautiful walks in the old town with narrow winding streets, often steep along the Garonne.
