Built at the end of the 1649th century, the Château de Langoiran was one of the most prestigious and powerful elements of the Duchy of Aquitaine. Involved in the struggles between the King of England and the King of France, a royal fortress at the end of the 1972th century, it became the residence of the presidents of the parliament of Bordeaux in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries. Burned down during La Fronde in XNUMX, it remained in ruins thereafter. Purchased in XNUMX by private individuals, it has since been restored and run by the Association des Amis du Château.
