Village of Lamarque

The town of Lamarque, largely built in the 1837th century, is distinguished by great architectural homogeneity. The Saint-Seurin church, built from 1838 to XNUMX, has a magnificent restored painted decoration and its bell tower crowned by a panoramic dome is one of the attractions of the village. In the center of the village, are the Place Gambetta and its war memorial, the town hall, the post office, the presbytery and the main shops. The majority of the houses date from the second half of the XNUMXth century and have facades of great harmony. The Château de Lamarque, set back from the village, dates back to the XNUMXth century. Revamped in the XNUMXth century and surrounded by beautiful grounds, it has become an important wine-growing property. Several wine properties are installed inside the village, we can guess them by the presence of cellars, thus giving it a very particular cachet.
