Guided tour of the citadel of Blaye through the underground passages

The guided tour of the citadel of Blaye (RDV Place d'armes -at the foot of the flag- in the citadel, 5 minutes before the time indicated on your tickets) introduces you to Vauban's defense system, life in the fortress at XVIIth century and in the Middle Ages and the evolution of the site since Antiquity. She also leads you to the secret passages of the fortress.
We walk in ditches, we climb stairs, so we advise you to wear comfortable and waterproof shoes.
The guided tour takes place half outdoors and half indoors. For people with reduced mobility, we inform you that the visit route is 1,2 km and that we go up or down a hundred steps. In summer, we advise you to bring mosquito repellent. In case of rain, bring clothes and shoes suitable for this type of weather.

From January 6 to February 11, guided tours of the citadel via the underground passages on Saturdays.
From February 12 to March 10, Monday to Saturday at 14:30 p.m. March 16 at 14:30 p.m.
From March 18 to June 23 and from September 23 to November 10, departure at 14:30 p.m. every day + an additional departure at 16 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
From June 24 to September 22, daily at 11 a.m., 14:30 p.m. and 16 p.m.
From November 11 to December 31, departure every Saturday at 14:30 p.m. and every day during the Christmas holidays except December 25.
