Located on a preserved marsh area, Terres d'Oiseaux is one of the last reedbeds of the Gironde Estuary. This biotope is home to rare birds and is a shelter for many insects, batrachians and mammals. Marsh harriers, herons, storks, snipes: more than 110 species of birds have been observed.
The site offers 2 distinct and complementary spaces:
- a free space which allows visitors to access an observation tower, the reception building offering a relaxation area, café and shop as well as the panoramic restaurant,
- a paying area made up of 3 ornithological paths dotted with observatories equipped with fixed telescopes.
Opening
January, February, November and December: Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m.
March, April, September and October: every day from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m.
May and June: every day from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m.
July and August: every day from 10 a.m. to 20 p.m.
