In the Médoc, between Bordeaux and Pauillac, the port of Lamarque offers you a remarkable view of the Gironde Estuary.
You can admire its reflections which change at will under an ever different light, its islands, including Île Pâté, and its squares.
You will find a pier there to get to the Citadel of Blaye which forms, with Fort Médoc, the Lock of the Estuary built by Vauban, World Heritage of Humanity to also discover in summer during river walks on the Gironde. At the port of Lamarque, you have a restaurant with a terrace, a promenade with benches and a shaded picnic area and, in season, a guinguette for lunch or dinner by the water. Trails lead visitors to Fort Médoc and the Marais d'Arcins and Soussans, to be taken accompanied in summer, on foot every Wednesday or on horseback every Friday.
